The signal system has been delivered to the site and Midwest Electrical started assembling the signals before the Thanksgiving holiday week.  The system was energized on 11/30/2011 and the final checks will be completed on December 1, 2011 before the signal system is turned on.   We expect the system to be fully functional by this afternoon.  Please be aware of the traffic control change at the intersection moving forward.

Construction at the intersection has been moving along and the contractor is now ready to begin pouring concrete.  Beginning this week curb & gutter will be installed along Stebner Rd and Maple Grove Rd.  The curb & gutter will be placed in front of private driveways limiting access for 7 days after the installation.  Soon after the curb & gutter is placed a crew will come and prepare the area behind the curb for additional flatwork items (sidewalks and driveways), this work will require another 7 days to cure before traffic is allowed back on it. 

Residents are advised to find alternate parking areas outside the construction zone for any vehicles they may need in the next 2 weeks.  We will be allowing residents to park within the construction limits from 6 pm to 7 am on weekdays and all day on the weekends.

 Motorists are advised to follow the posted detours for both closures or to find alternate routes around the construction area.  As always the construction schedule is subject to change based on weather and existing conditions.  Thanks to everyone for their continuing patience.

 Beginning tomorrow (7/22/2011) the contractor will be milling the asphalt surface along Stebner Rd and Maple Grove Rd within the project limits.  The intersection will remain closed to all traffic while this work is completed.  Local traffic is advised to use caution while navigating through the job site and be aware of open ditches, rough areas and sudden grade changes.

The construction at Stebner and Maple Grove Roads has progressed along Maple Grove Road, and Northland Constructors is now preparing to move into the next two phases of the project.  Starting Thursday, July 14, 2011, Stebner Road will be closed to traffic through the project area as construction along the roadway continues.  On Monday, July 18, 2011, Maple Grove Road will be closed to traffic through the project area.  These closures will remain in effect through the month of August as the new road surface is completed.
